Online Giving Frequently Asked Questions
- Which account do I choose?
When you give online, you’ll see accounts for Tithe/General Budget, Mission Scholarship, Camp Siloam Scholarship, and Super Summer Scholarship. For your tithe and any other gifts to the many ministries of First Baptist Church, choose the Tithe/General Budget account. For other gifts, choose the appropriate account.
- I clicked the “Give Online” button and nothing happens.
When you click “Give Online”, a new browser window is opened. If you’re using a pop-up blocker, the window won’t open. Most browsers will allow you to permit pop-ups from a specific web site. In order to use the “Give Online” area, you will need to allow pop-ups from www.fbcstuttgart.com. You can also hold down the CTRL button while clicking the “Give Online” button.
- Are there fees involved in giving online?
No, it costs you nothing extra to give online. However, for each credit card/debit card transaction, First Baptist Church is charged a small processing fee. If you wish to have this fee included in your gift instead of being charged to the church, simply check the box at the end of your donation page. Fees average 1.9%, but may vary depending on the type of card used.
- Can I schedule recurring donations?
Yes, you can specify whether you want your contribution made once, weekly, twice per month, monthly, quarterly or yearly. You can set up as many scheduled contributions as you would like, so it is possible to give your tithe as well as other gifts.
- Will I still receive a contribution statement?
Yes, you will receive an email contribution statement after your gift is received. From the “Online Giving” page, you can view and/or print your contribution history by clicking on the “My Account” button. Also, your online giving will also appear on your quarterly and end-of-the-year giving statements which will be mailed to you.
- What if I change credit cards or want to adjust the date or amount of a contribution?
You can edit or delete your personal account information or a scheduled contribution at anytime.
We’ve taken steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for “Secure Socket Layer,” a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.
- Who do I talk to if I have more questions?
